Historique :	Ces quatre toiles sont conservées par la loge, mais leur provenance reste hypothétique. On peut supposer qu’elles ornaient les murs d’un précédent temple occupé par la loge. Un autre exemple de peintures murales très semblables existait encore, il y a peu, dans un ancien temple de Perpignan et on trouve encore quelques décors de ce type dans d’autres temples. D’après B. Toulier, ce type de décor est très en vogue dans la 2e moitié du 18e et la 1ère moitié du 19e siècle ; ces peintures semblent plutôt se situer vers 1800-1830.

Précision_sur la representation :	Peintes en grisaille, elles représentent, en trompe l’œil, des statues placées sur des consoles feuillagées, dans des niches en plein cintre. Trois figures féminines représentent la Connaissance, la Charité et l’Espérance ; la figure masculine est une allégorie de la Force. La série n’est peut-être pas complète.
