Description :	La statue est taillée dans une bille de bois de résineux, non évidée. Le revers est seulement ébauché et n'est pas peint. Du tissu a été appliqué sur le bois avant la préparation, La statue est entièrement repeinte avec sans doute une redorure du 19e siècle, réalisée lorsque la statue a été placée dans le retable.

Historique :	La statue est placée dans la niche centrale du retable du maître-autel, datable du début du 19e siècle. Un bas-relief du 17e a également été remployé au registre supérieur du retable.

Précision_sur la representation :	Le saint se tient debout avec un très léger déhanché vers sa gauche. Ses cheveux bruns laissent les oreilles bien dégagées et retombent en longues mèches ondulées sur la poitrine ; ses tempes sont dégarnies et la barbe et la moustache sont mi-longues. Il tient un livre fermé dans sa main gauche, recouverte de tissu, et une épée (refaite), attribut habituel du saint, dans la droite. II est pieds nus, vêtu dune longue tunique ceinturée et d'un manteau retenu sur la poitrine par un fermail et ramené en tablier devant les jambes. On remarque les faisceaux de plis retombant de chaque côté et l'effet du tissu sur ta main gauche.
