Historique :	Le département des Pyrénées-Orientales a la particularité d'avoir conservé un certain nombre de décors de la Semaine sainte, appelés ici monuments. Ils étaient utilisés, à l'origine, pour le Jeudi saint, puis plus tardivement comme reposoir. Ces objets au statut liturgique équivoque ont pratiquement tous disparus, détruits dans années 1950, ou plus tard, car leur usage n'avait plus court, notamment suite aux réformes liturgiques. Ce sont néanmoins des témoins de l'histoire et des pratiques religieuses du passé qu'il convient de conserver comme trace matérielle. Leur intérêt a été reconnu récemment au niveau national et européen par le classement d'un certain nombre d'entre eux au titre des Monuments historiques et à l'occasion d'une exposition à Gênes en 2013.
