Historique :	Cette statue qui est le pendant de sainte Marguerite a été maquillée après avoir été volée dans les années 1970. Les attributs caractéristiques de la sainte ont été enlevés. Cette statue était proposée à la vente sous l'appellation de courtisane. Elle a été acquise par un particulier. L'atelier de Joseph Navarre travaillait à Ille et à Néfiach au milieu du 18ème siècle. Il participe à la réalisation du retable du saint Sacrement de l'église Saint-Etienne d'Ille et construit celui de la chapelle du Christ de cet édifice. On le rencontre à nouveau en 1756 à Ille pour la construction du retable de la chapelle de l'hospice Saint-Jacques. C'est probablement à cette époque qu'il a été décidé de lui confier le chantier du retable de l'ermitage de Saint-Maurice.
