Historique :	Selon le Pré-inventaire 53J198, le thème du tableau serait peut-être Emmäu et daterait du XVIIe siècle. Le peintre Rieudemont est originaire du Languedoc et a beaucoup peint en Roussillon au XVIIIe siècle. Il s'agit de la seule copie d'une œuvre originale aujourd'hui perdue du peintre Antoni Guerre le Jeune.

Précision_sur la representation :	Saint Barthélémy étendu en croix, les mains liées par des cordes à un arbre (main droite) et une branche cassée (main gauche), regarde le ciel tandis que deux personnages coiffés de turbans sont en train de l'écorcher vif ; l'un à la poitrine, l'autre à la jambe gauche. Ce dernier serre un couteau entre ses dents. Dans l'angle supérieur droit, un ange apparaît entre les nimbes, couronnant le saint d'une couronne.
