Description :	Plaque de marbre sculptée à l'effigie de l'abbé Grégoire. Plaque rectangulaire de marbre rose tâché de blanc, brisée en deux morceaux qui se raccordent parfaitement (avec toutefois un fragment disparu pour le morceau supérieur).

Historique :	Elle présente sous une arcade cintrée, l'effigie de l'abbé Grégoire, abbé de Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa vers 1130, constructeur du cloître, puis évêque de Tarragonne de 1137 jusqu'à sa mort en 1146. Cette sculpture avait une signification votive et commémorative et fut sans doute réalisée sur la demande des moines de Saint-Michel afin de rendre louange à l'action et au souvenir de l'abbé Grégoire.
