Historique :	Ce mystère était porté aux processions de la Sanch du Vendredi-Saint à Perpignan.

Précision sur_l'état :	Œuvre ayant fait l'objet d'un examen-diagnostic par le Centre de conservation et de restauration du Patrimoine du Conseil Général des Pyrénées-Orientales en 2009. Œuvre restaurée par Sylvie Richard et Chloé Bodin en 2020.
Précision_sur la representation :	La Vierge des sept douleurs, au visage très expressif, est vêtue de noir, elle est penchée sur son fils. Sa main gauche est repliée sur sa poitrine et son coeur est transpercé des sept glaives. La statue de la Vierge est ébauchée jusqu'au buste ; ses deux bras sont amovibles pour faciliter l'habillement. Elle est vêtue de trois jupons, ses pieds sont sculptés et chaussés de vrais sandales à l'origine (restes les traces des lacets et le talon qui semble en cuir très fin). Ses yeux sont en verre. Le coeur sur la poitrine est en argent, cousu sur de la dentelle. sa couronne (cercle étoilé en métal) est conservé à part.
